There are three types of hold'em poker game. The fundamental
rules and rounds are same for all.
1. Limit Hold'em . this is
the simplest one. There is a fixed betting amount so if someone
bets, raises, or calls the increments are predefined.
2. Pot Limit Hold'em - This
type of holdem is harder than limit holdem and eaiser than
no limit. The maximum a player can bet is the size of the
pot. This makes each additional betting round that much larger.
Pot limit and no limit strategy are similar, limit holdem
is different.
3. No Limit Hold'em - This
type of holdem is the most widely publicized. It is on the
World Poker Tour and ESPN. The largest tournaments in the
world are always played with a no limit betting structure.
The only difference between limit and no limit is that the
maximum bet is not predefined.
